Healthy Lawns for Healthy Water Workshop
Have you ever used pesticides to fight off pests in your lawn and garden? Would you like to reduce your pesticide use on your yard but don’t know how? Well, you’re in luck because the Clackamas River Basin Council will be airing a television workshop for landowners on the Clackamas County Government Channel. This workshop is on air this week at 8:00 - 8:29 PM on Wednesday, September 24th, 12:30 - 12:59 PM on Thursday, September 25th, and 10:00 - 10:29 AM on Saturday, September 27th. During this Healthy Lawns for Healthy Water workshop, you will hear about the impacts of pesticides on our waterways, discover strategies that you can take to reduce your pesticide use, learn how to choose the least toxic pesticide products, and be trained on how to safely apply pesticides. Take this opportunity to learn about the results from a recent United States Geological Service (USGS) study concerning pesticides in our Clackamas River basin waterways.
