The Clackamas River Basin Council welcomes citizen participation
on it's Fish and Wildlife, Land Use and Outreach and Education committees.
Committees typically meet every other month during council meetings
and on an as needed basis. Contact Committee Chairs or info@clackamasriver.org to find out about committee projects and how you can get involved.
The
Fish and Wildlife Committee helps prioritize, plan
and implement streamside restoration projects.
The committee works with volunteers and oversees
council monitoring efforts of water quality, invasive
plants and fish and wildlife.
The Land Use Committee reviews proposed land use code changes and
enforcement, reviews permit applications that may adversely affect
the health of the watershed, recommends and coordinates Council response
or comment to permit applications and participates in community planning
efforts.
The
outreach and education committee provides input and feedback
on publications and communications, helps plan and conduct special
events like educational tours, river clean-ups and watershed celebrations
and facilitates community input on watershed assessments and action
planning.
