As the name implies, native plants are species that occur naturally in an area or have existed there for numerous years. They are adapted for the local environment and coexist with other plants and wildlife, sometimes depending on them for survival.
The Clackamas River Basin Council staff will work with you to develop a planting plan that suits your needs. The types of native plants selected will depend on the environmental conditions on your property and the habitat requirements of each plant species.
